Develop Departmental Style Manuals to Clarify Correspondence Guidelines
| We often hear this comment in our workshops: "It may be right, but that's not how we do it in our department!" Many people are unaware that corporate writing style remains a matter of choice. What may be "correct" for one department may simply not be possible in another due to systems or time constraints. We help management make reasonable and practical decisions about how they want their correspondence to look—and then we place those decisions in a departmental style manual so everyone can quite literally "be on the same page."

Review, Edit, and Proof Systems Letters and Paragraphs
| Systems-generated correspondence is used frequently in corporations these days to ensure consistency and save time, but did you know that almost 40% of canned letters and paragraphs contain one or more serious grammatical mistakes? Like deadly viruses, these errors replicate themselves thousands of times daily. To eliminate embarrassing mistakes before they spread through the system and reach your customer base, The Grammar Sleuth will review your systems material and make recommendations for improved clarity and grammatical accuracy.

Customize Grammar Sleuth Workshops for Correspondence Areas
| Grammar Sleuth workshops are unique in that they are fully customized two-day training sessions in which the participants work exclusively with examples drawn from their own correspondence. Sessions are highly interactive, and the method of instruction is fun, practical, and nonthreatening. Participants leave the workshop with a customized manual full of QuikTIPS and shortcuts to help them sleuth their own writing. As a result, the most frequent comment we receive about our customized training is "Wow, this is the first writing workshop we've had that actually applies to us!"

Provide Customized Grammar Sleuth Quizzes to Help Management Track Writing Skills
| Supervisors and quality analysts may be quite confident when it comes to evaluating content in company correspondence, but they often avoid citing grammar mistakes because they're not sure they can explain what's gone wrong and why. As a result, many embarrassing grammar felonies and misdemeanors manage to slip past reviewers daily and wind up in client mailboxes. Our customized Grammar Sleuth Quiz is based solely on departmental correspondence and is designed to help management identify those individuals who may need additional monitoring and who might therefore benefit from our personalized correspondence reviews.

Conduct Individual Correspondence Reviews for CSRs
| Grammar, Style, and Usage (GSU) Reviews provide a useful and highly practical follow-up to the Grammar Sleuth workshop and quiz. Management submits a folder of ten letters for each participant, and we return the letters with personalized Q-Cards containing reminders, rewrites, and QuikTIP explanations of any problems we noted in our review. GSUs are useful for supervisors and quality analysts as well and may be conducted for an entire department or simply for those individuals who need closer monitoring to bring their writing skills up to level.
